E10: Don't Take Control When an Inspired Idea Comes
Oct 14, 2022if you are an overachiever/perfectionist/super-doer, this episode is for you.
Being an achiever or perfectionist is not a bad thing but sometimes we tend to want to have control over what's happening in our lives. And it adds unnecessary resistance to the mix.
Listen to my latest podcast episode to learn what you can do to avoid taking too much control and let things flow on their own.'
In This Episode You Will Learn About:
- How to stay flowy and allowing
- What you can do when an inspired idea came to you in a moment of alignment
- Recognizing when to take action (so that it’s NOT too early!)
Let's take a broad perspective here. You know that what I teach is that the best way to flow through life is to let things come to you, right?
That's why we talk about the Law of Attraction so much.
Here's a preview of the episode:
[1:56] You know that what I teach is that the best way to flow through life is to let things come to you.
[2:38] What I've noticed as an achiever, it's been my tendency to want to take control any time an inspired idea comes.
[3:25] The only thing that I've noticed is that, with this pattern of wanting to immediately jump into action, there is usually hastiness that comes with it that is not an energetic match to flow.
[4:12] If an inspired action comes to you in a moment when you're just in the receptive mode, that's great. You feel the impulse to take action right then and there, OMG! Follow the positive impulses.
[4:32] You can be aware enough to analyze your internal energy and to say "Am I doing from a space of feeling drawn forward?
[5:06] How do you know when it's time to take action? When the path forward feels clear.
[6:00] If you are trying, you haven't made the decision to go with it, to go with the flow of well-being. You haven't decided what you want to be because when you decide what you want to be, you just be it, you are it.
[7:11] You are only in choices. At any moment you can choose a whole bunch of different actions that you can take.
[7:24] How do you like the idea of not being in so much hurry, because you remind yourself that there's no hustle or hurry in divine timing.
[7:33] Not needing to take action, to seize an opportunity because you don't wanna miss out, because you remember that abundance expands in proportion to desire.
[8:17] Whatever you want there is enough, there is plenty for you in the universe, and that is why you don't have to take control when the inspired idea comes. [9:46] You let inspired thought pick up momentum to where you cannot move forward that's when you know the path is clear.
[11:50] You know when to take action because it feels like you are part of the inspiration. you’re not separate from it.
My preferred way is to let things flow to you, to choose your state of being, and let the universe line things up to let things happen in miraculous serendipitous ways that your brain couldn't have constructed by itself.
But I've noticed that as an achiever, it's been my tendency to want to kind of take control anytime an inspired idea comes.
It’s not exactly wrong, but this pattern of wanting to immediately jump into action usually has a hastiness that comes with it!
That hastiness is not an energetic match to things working out in the right place, the right ways, the right time.
Just because the idea came doesn’t mean you have to take control and make it happen.
Only do so when it feels like you are part of the inspiration - not separate from it.
So, stay aligned and let the next piece come to you.
